His distinguished career includes being a Fellow in both the International College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy, as well as serving as Past President of the Iowa Dental Association (2010–2011) and the Iowa Dental Foundation (2009–2010). He has contributed to the University of Iowa Alumni Board (2018–2020), serves as Triage Lead for the Iowa Mission of Mercy, and is an active member of the Midwest Gnathostatic Study Club.
